Q) I have medicaid in Florida and trying to cancel it so I can get the medicaid in Ohio but I cannot get thru to anyone to cancel it in Florida, and the people I did talk to just gives me another number to call that does not help, what should I do , these recordings takes you in circles. I have not had my medicine in 3 weeks it’s not good.

A) I understand that you are having difficulty canceling your Medicaid coverage in Florida in order to enroll in Ohio’s Medicaid program. It’s unfortunate that you are experiencing difficulties getting through to someone who can assist you.

One solution would be to contact the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), which is the agency that administers the Medicaid program in Florida. You can find contact information for the agency on their website or by searching online for “Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.”

You can also try visiting your local Medicaid office in person, if possible, and speak with a representative in person. In some cases, speaking with someone in person can be more effective than trying to reach someone over the phone.

Additionally, you can also contact the Ohio Department of Medicaid and request assistance with the enrollment process. They should be able to guide you through the process of enrolling in Ohio’s Medicaid program and provide information about how to cancel your Florida coverage.

Another option is to contact your primary care physician, they may be able to help you with your medicaid transfer process and they also may be able to provide you with some temporary options for your medications.

It’s important to keep in mind that the process of switching from one Medicaid program to another can be complicated, so it may take some time to resolve. I hope you will be able to get the assistance you need and get your medicaid coverage in Ohio.
