I need help trying to figure out why my baby daddy girlfriend called and had my pebt cards I have for my daughter reported stolen and had new ones delivered to her house. I need to file a report of something and investigate because that’s not right and she has 4 other children in the home of her own. Is. There something I can do?
I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this situation. It sounds like you’re concerned about the safety and well-being of your daughter, and that your ex-partner’s girlfriend may have taken your daughter’s EBT cards without your permission.
Here are some steps you can take to address the situation:
Contact your local child protective services (CPS) agency. CPS is responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect, and they may be able to help you if you believe that your daughter is at risk of harm.
Contact the police. If you believe that your daughter’s EBT cards were stolen, you can file a police report. This will help to document the incident and may increase the chances of the cards being recovered.
Contact the EBT card issuer. The EBT card issuer may be able to cancel the lost cards and issue new ones to you. They may also be able to investigate the unauthorized use of the cards.
Contact your lawyer. If you are considering taking legal action against your ex-partner’s girlfriend, you should speak to a lawyer. A lawyer can advise you of your options and help you to protect your rights.
Here are some additional resources that may be helpful:
The National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233
The National Child Abuse Hotline: 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453)
The Child Welfare Information Gateway: 1-800-616-1772
I hope this information is helpful.
