I currently live in California, I plan on moving to Texas this summer of 2015. How do I apply for medical benefits and food stamps/ cash aid? I plan on working but this move is a big move for my family so we will need help until I find something. Do I have to be a resident for a certain amount of time? An I apply for benefits before I get out there so I have an income right when I move?
A friend of our family recently passed away and without any family of her own my wife became her beneficiary. While she was alive she was given a Jazzy electric wheel chair which was I understand paid for by Medicaid. Does Medicaid require that this chair be returned or can we donate it to a Veterans Organization? Please advise as soon as possible. Thanks, John
