Q) So I took my daughter to doctors and was told .her Gold Coast medical card was not active so I called the 1800 number in back of the card of Gold Coast and they said it wasn’t on their part it was on the workers part only the county of Ventura human services worker who I’m trying to contact about my daughter’s medical card this is not the first time that it’s happened and when I call the office of the welfare I’m on hold for like long time

A) I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble getting in touch with the county of Ventura human services worker about your daughter’s medical card. It can be frustrating to try to get assistance when you’re on hold for a long time or when you’re having difficulty getting the help you need.

Here are a few things you might try:

  1. Check the county of Ventura’s website to see if they have any information about how to contact them or if they have a phone number or email address you can use to get in touch with them.
  2. Consider calling during non-peak hours, such as early in the morning or late in the evening, when the call volume may be lower and you may have an easier time getting through.
  3. If you are unable to get through by phone, you might try sending an email or sending a letter by regular mail explaining your situation and requesting assistance.
  4. You could also try reaching out to other organizations or agencies that may be able to help you, such as your local health department or a community health center.

I hope these suggestions are helpful. If you continue to have difficulty getting the assistance you need, you may want to consider seeking help from a legal aid organization or an advocacy group that can provide you with support and guidance.
