I want to check on my submitted bills for spendown and cant get an answer about reinstating medicaide benefits because I can’t get anybody to answer the phone at the office and you can’t leave a voice mail for a caseworker because their mailbox is full. I go in person and am told to just drop my paperwork in a box and can’t talk to anybody. In the mean time my medical bills are piling up. Please help. I was told to contact Congressman Lipinskis office.
My 94 year old mother who is in very poor health has been getting home care (now around the clock) for 7 years. She is living in a relatives home and paying half the home expenses. Based upon her expenses VS. assets, she will be broke in April 2015. Her current net worth is $26,000. Who do I talk with to initiate Medicaid help and a move to a nursing home by April 2015?
