My daughter was mistakenly enrolled in Texas Medicaid despite already having health insurance. I have been trying for over a week to call and get this cancelled. I have tried 14 phone numbers and each time I finally get a person, I am sent to the 211 number. Friday, I left my phone plugged in and on speaker for 8 hours on hold. No one answered. I have been on hold for a collective 16 hours at this 211 number and never spoken to a person. How do I cancel this Medicaid I never applied for?
I’m on Anthem Medicaid now.But I will be 65 years old in October 31st.So I signed up for Medicare 3 months ahead since I will be eligible.I talk to a caseworker and I told him I need help with the “B” part of the Medicare card.So he told me to contact back on August 25th and then I call today and another caseworker told me not until Sept. 25th.He told me my Anthem Medicaid will be dismissed because of the Medicare.But I still need more assistance and also he said Medicare will not pay for my prescriptions.I’m on 10 medications.Who do I contact?When I sign up for the Medicare card the Social Security ask if I wanted to send the info to the Medicaid Office and I said yes.
