I understand that you’re concerned about not receiving your GA food stamps. There are a few things you can do to check on the status of your application:
Online: You can check your benefits status by logging into Georgia Gateway. If you don’t have an account, you can create one by clicking on the “Create User Account” link.
Phone: You can call the DFCS customer service line at (877) 423-4746. The customer service line is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
Mail: You can mail a letter to your local DFCS office. The address for your local office can be found on the DFCS website.
If you’re still having trouble checking on the status of your application, you can contact your local DFCS office in person. The address and phone number for your local office can be found on the DFCS website.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
Your benefits should be issued on the 5th through the 23rd of each month, depending on the last two digits of your case number.
You can use your EBT card at any store that accepts EBT cards.
You can use your EBT card to purchase food, seeds, and plants to grow food for your own family’s consumption.
You cannot use your EBT card to purchase non-grocery items, such as cleaning products, pet food, paper products, alcohol, or tobacco.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
